It was clean enough overall, but the bathrooms definitely needed more attention. I expected better based on what was promised, and the reality didn’t quite match up

I had to change the date on my tickets, and I was already expecting it to turn into a whole thing because I was trying to sort it out while making lunch and checking the weather for the weekend. I emailed support, and they got back to me quickly and fixed it without any weird back-and-forth or runaround. When I got to the gate, the person working there was really friendly too and pointed me in the right direction, which I appreciated because I’m not always great at figuring out where to go in a crowd. Overall, it just made the day feel a lot less stressful than I thought it would be.

My kids learned so much here, so much. They came home excited and talking about everything they did, which was really nice to see...

We took our kids and they loved it. It was easy enough to walk around and there was plenty for them to look at, which helped keep them busy. The staff was nice when we needed help, so that was a plus. That said, I did find myself noticing the little annoying stuff more than I expected, and it didn’t feel totally stress-free. Still, the kids had a great time, so overall it was worth it.

I didn’t expect the exhibits to be this good. Like... the animals had plenty of space, and it was easy to see everything without feeling packed in with a crowd. The habitats were really well done too, especially the pandas and the big cats. I’d definitely go again.

Overall, way easier than I thought it would be.

The keepers we spoke to were great, they clearly knew the animals well and answered our questions properly. That was definitely the best part of the visit. But the website was frustrating to use, and I felt stupid for trusting that all the info I needed would be easy to find beforehand. For the price, I expected the whole experience to be a bit smoother. Overall it was good, just more hassle than I thought it would be.

Ordered a hoodie and a magnet from the gift shop, it showed up quicker than I expected, which was a nice change. Everything was packed properly too, so apparently that’s still possible. My kid loved it, so no complaints there

We had a good time at the zoo overall. Kids loved it. Lots to see. But the restrooms... kind of annoying. They felt spread out, and a few times we had to walk back farther than expected. Not ideal with little kids who suddenly have to go. There were signs in some spots, which helped, but other times we were just guessing. Fun visit, just wish the bathroom access was a little easier

We got the San Diego Zoo membership for the year, it’s decent if you live nearby and plan on going more than once or twice. It did save us money on admission, so I can’t really complain about that part. But man, everything else still adds up so fast. Food, parking, random extras… suddenly it doesn’t feel like you’re getting some amazing deal anymore. I just wish the membership came with better discounts inside the park, because that would make it feel a lot more worth it. It’s not bad, but it really depends on how often you’re actually going to use it.

I did end up getting my refund, but it took longer than I expected. The updates were slow, and I felt a bit pressured having to keep checking in and wondering what was going on. It worked out in the end, but the process could’ve been smoother.
